Flekz Design Collaboration

For our first-ever artist collaboration, we partnered with someone who genuinely lives and breathes cycling. Enter Flekz, the artist name of Gustavo Fuentes. Long before this project came together, Gustavo was already familiar with The Black Bibs—not as a collaborator, but as a customer. In fact, The Black Bibs kit was the very first cycling kit he ever purchased. 

Gustavo draws inspiration directly from the energy, movement, and focus that riding brings him. Translating his artwork from walls and canvases onto cycling apparel presented a new challenge. But, together, we worked through how the artwork would flow across the jersey, bibs, and accessories, ensuring the geometric patterns maintained their impact while moving with the rider. The result is a kit that feels less like artwork printed on apparel and more like a complete moving canvas.
