I've been wanting to get a couple more pairs of cycling shorts with pockets, but they are so expensive! I've got one pair of Pearl Izumi Expeditions, and these are at least as nice. The chamois is probably a little nicer on these. Definitely recommend. The only issue: I got the XL (in olive) and they are a little bit tight. I always get that size, and every other pair, including Black Bibs basic shorts, fits perfectly. The fit is not terrible but you should consider getting a size up if you are a chunky rider

I have a black pair just like them that I wore riding the Katy Trail for six days. They were my preferred pair because I love the padding and shorts are perfect for gravel riding in warm weather. Getting the Olive ones means I can just switch between the two pair. Having side pockets means I can wear shirts without pockets on the trail. I like that!
