I have been able to get several rides in wearing these bibs. From 20 miles up to over 100 miles, outdoors and also on the trainer. You cannot beat these bibs. I have worn all levels of expensive bibs out there and these are better. All day comfort, and they just work. The compression is great, and the second skin feel is amazing. The Black Bibs knocked it out of the park with these ones!

These bibs feel silky smooth. You could ride 8+ hours in them or put them on and pretend they are your favorite pair of pj's and spend a long night of binge watching Disney movies.

The title of my review is my honest first reaction. When I pulled these out of the bag I noticed that these felt different, and had a different construction than other bibs. Wearing them for the first time I was confused by their comfort. Not that my other Black Bibs aren’t as comfortable, but these are comfortable in a way that might warrant naming them something other than a bib because it legitimately feels like some kind of cozy advancement in performance cycling technology. I can’t tell if it’s the new chamois design or the uncuffed legs. I was worried they’d ride up but they stayed in place perfectly and gave me a uniform level of compression that is something I never knew I needed until these successfully ruined other bins for me. All of the Black Bibs bibs are good, and offer great compression, but these are a new sensation. They somehow manage to move with you better because it doesn’t feel like they’re fighting to stay in place. It’s a weirdly amazing sensation that I didn’t know I needed until now. If you only own one set of high end performance oriented bibs these short probably be on your short list.

New pad and design makes this my go to bib for 4+ hour rides. This bib has less seams and the grippers feel less intrusive but conform better. Hopefully new colors are on the way.

Love the new fabric: nice and lightweight. Great shoulder straps: the mesh has never felt comfortable to me, and my favorite bibs all have single piece straps like these. Black Bibs nailed it with these straps and hopefully they trickle down to other models. Also appreciate the less aggressive leg grippers: these feel more natural and don't tug through leg movement.

A few non-highlights: putting them on I heard a bunch of little threads rip. Didn't spot any immediate failures, but haven't had that happen with other bibs, so a little worried about potential material failure with more wear. Chamois is nice, but it's not as thick or even dense as the ultimate chamois. I'd say medium thickness, medium-firm density. Like the shape and surface (unlikely to have that top layer delaminate like happens with the ultra chamois), but probably not my choice for 8hr+ days.

Overall, this is a great improvement in Black Bibs models (IMO), the value is still incredible compared to big name brands, and hopefully they will continue to tweak models to make them better and better.
