I own multiple pairs of bibs from virtually every major supplier. I’ve been a dedicated road cyclist since 1985, and have been an equally dedicated structured trainer since 2013. I’ve put many pairs of bib shorts through all kinds of abuse. But after discovering The Black Bibs, and especially their “Plus“ line, I’ve been saving money and never looking back. The fit is fantastic, the workmanship is top notch.. Period. The only note on sizing I can make is that with most other brands I’m a size medium (5‘10“ tall, 154 pounds) but with these shorts, I’m a size small. Snug but not binding they don’t slip around on the skin, causing chafing. Very highly recommended and at these wonderful price points you can create a rainbow of colors to mix and match.

Lights on with these bibs! I figured I'd try a new colorway and picked up a pair of these Plus bibs in size large. I'm 5' 10" and 165 and they fit perfectly. The chamois is well padded and perfect for longer rides of up to 100K. Absolutely a great value for the price!

The size small fits me well and the compression is really good. And, I like the color. The bib material blend (85% polyester, 15% elastane) is also the same as my Castelli, MAAP and Rapha bibs. Unfortunately, the chamois isn’t as high of quality as my other bibs, which is a dealbreaker. It’s pretty thin and it seems to have three different thicknesses. I went out for a 20-mile, hour long ride and was pretty uncomfortable. I couldn’t imagine wearing these for more than an hour. Bummed about the chamois because I liked the fit, compression and style (and price).
