I am 6' tall & 180 lbs. I own Pearl Izumi ("PI") bibs. I bought the Black Bibs ("BB") size L, same size I bought in PI, & the BB's fit great. (1) The BB pad is fine, at least as good as my PI pads. (2) The outsides of the BB hip pockets are thick mesh; I can see through them. PI's pockets are solid fabric. I don't prefer one pocket style over the other, with one exception: Some PI shorts have a pocket in a pocket. That gives me a double layer of fabric between my skin and my car keys. I like that. (3) The PI shoulder straps are unseamed stretch fabric; the BB shoulder straps have seams. The BB's are easier than the PI's to lay flat, and are wider. I much prefer the BB's. (4) I prefer the BB's for not having an external brand name on them for people to read. (5) The BB's were less-expensive than the PI's. The BB's have become my favorite bibs. I since bought the BB shorts (not bibs) style, but I prefer the BB bibs to the shorts. Personal preference; I also prefer PI bibs to PI shorts. I'm likely to buy the BB tights for this winter. I already bought the BB gloves, & summer & winter jerseys, & I plan to leave 5-star reviews on them soon.

I was blown away by the material and craftsmanship of this bib. I've been spending an average of $250-$300 on bibs for years. A friend of mine showed up with a pair on the ride and was impressed with the quality and fit so I decided to give Black Bibs a try. I think they will be my new go to bibs. Don't let the price deter you - these are top-quality that are just as good as the big names!

I have a few pairs of the black bibs Ultimate Adventure bibs, I think they are extremely good and well worth the money! They are a tremendous value for the price that you are paying. I have a few pair of bibs that are better for longer days on the bike but are substantially much more expensive and are not a value at all. I was strongly recommend this product!

Very comfortable and seem to be well made! Took the advice of other reviewers and said to order a size up and that advice worked out well for me.

This is my second pair of BBs - my first pair is nearly 4 years old and wore incredibly well. For the second pair, I opted for the better pad and side/rear pockets. I really like the blue color, white shoulder straps, leg bands and the more comfy pad. The only caveat I have is having to order size 2XL - I’m 6’, 182 with wide hips and can wear an XL in some other brands. Simply near perfect bibs - well done!
